Whether you are a guest checking in to a stranger's home or a host welcoming someone in, here is how we keep both sides covered. Our team responds in Hindi, English, Tamil, Bengali, and Marathi.
India national emergency number: 112 (police, fire, ambulance, women in distress — single short code). For non-urgent incidents at your stay, message your host first or contact our support team.
Every host on Apna Stay is verified against a government-issued ID before their first listing goes live. Look for the green Verified badge on host profiles.
Pay only through Apna Stay. Your money is held in escrow and only released to the host 24 hours after check-in. Off-platform payments are never protected.
All host conversations stay on Apna Stay so we can mediate if something goes wrong. We will never ask you to pay or share personal info outside the app.
Require government ID before any booking is confirmed. Optional for stays under ₹5,000; we recommend keeping it on for peace of mind.
Up to ₹2 crore in host damage protection — built into AirCover for Hosts. Covers accidental damage to your home and belongings during a guest's stay.
Up to ₹10 crore in liability protection in the rare case a guest is hurt or their belongings are damaged on your property, backed by Apna Stay.
Set rules guests must agree to before booking — pets, smoking, parties, quiet hours. We back you up if they are broken.
If you are in immediate danger, call 112 first — India's national emergency number connects police, fire, ambulance, and the women's helpline. Then message us through the app so we can relocate you and stay on the line until you are safe.
